We're Always Looking for Great Techs

Maintenance Chef is a locally and family-owned commercial kitchen equipment company serving Colorado's Front Range since 2011. If you're a skilled technician who takes pride in the work — we want to hear from you.

Why Maintenance Chef

A Company Built on Integrity — Not Corporate Red Tape

We're not a franchise and we're not a national chain. Maintenance Chef is family-owned, locally operated, and built on one principle: do the job right and treat people well. That goes for our customers and it goes for our team. When you work here, you're a name — not a number.

Our techs work on commercial kitchen equipment across the full Front Range — restaurants, hotels, institutions, schools, healthcare facilities. The work is skilled, the equipment is specialized, and the problems are real. If you like figuring things out and walking away knowing you fixed it, this is the work for you.

Family Culture

Small team, direct communication, no layers of middle management.

Consistent Work

Front Range service area with steady commercial client demand year-round.

Real Credentials

EPA Universal Certified, CFESA member, BBB accredited — a company with standards.

Skilled Trade Work

Commercial foodservice equipment — specialized, challenging, satisfying work.

What We Look For

Character First. Skills Second. Both Matter.

We'll train the right person on our systems and processes. What we can't train is integrity, work ethic, and the drive to do the job right.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with commercial kitchen equipment (cooking, refrigeration, HVAC, or warewashing)
  • EPA 608 Certification (Universal preferred)
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and service manuals
  • Experience with OEM parts sourcing and installation
  • Clean driving record — valid Colorado license

Work Ethic

  • Shows up on time, every time — our clients' kitchens depend on it
  • Communicates clearly with customers and the team
  • Takes pride in first-visit resolution — not just getting the call closed
  • Comfortable working independently in the field
  • Available for on-call emergency rotation

Character

  • Honest with customers about what the equipment actually needs
  • Represents Maintenance Chef professionally on every job site
  • No shortcuts — if it's not fixed right, it's not fixed
  • Team-oriented — we're small and everyone's contribution matters
  • Aligned with "Integrity is our recipe" — not just as a slogan
"We want people with the right character and culture — techs who care about the work as much as we do."
