About Us

Colorado's Commercial Kitchen Equipment Specialists Since 2011

Built on one principle: show up, diagnose honestly, fix it right, and back the work.

Built for the People Who Keep Colorado Kitchens Running

"Integrity is our recipe!"

Maintenance Chef was founded in 2011 with a straightforward mission: give Colorado restaurants a commercial kitchen repair company they could actually count on. Not a company that shows up late, guesses at the problem, and leaves the kitchen down for days. A company that knows the equipment, calls it straight, and gets things back online fast.

Over the past 15 years we've grown into the Front Range's go-to service team for everything in the commercial kitchen — from cooking equipment and warewashing to commercial refrigeration, beverage systems, and licensed commercial HVAC. We serve restaurants, QSRs, institutional kitchens, food trucks, and multi-unit operators across Metro Denver, Colorado Springs, Boulder, Fort Collins, and everywhere in between.

Our team brings over 100 years of combined technician experience to every service call. We've built that depth intentionally — because commercial foodservice equipment is specialized, and the difference between a tech who knows it and one who doesn't shows up immediately in the quality of the diagnosis and the durability of the repair.

We also offer preventative maintenance contracts for operators who want to get ahead of breakdowns instead of reacting to them. PM clients get scheduled service, priority response, and discounted rates on any repair calls. For operators who can't afford downtime, it's the smart play.

Three Things We Never Compromise On

Every call, every tech, every repair — these aren't slogans. They're how we actually operate.

Honest Diagnostics

We tell you what's actually wrong — even when that means telling you a repair isn't worth it. You'll never get a parts-swap approach from a tech who hasn't actually diagnosed the problem. If it's fixable, we fix it right. If it's not, we tell you straight.

OEM Parts Only

We use original manufacturer parts — not aftermarket substitutes. Commercial kitchen equipment runs on tight tolerances, and inferior components fail faster and create secondary damage. Every repair we make comes with a 30-day OEM parts warranty because we stand behind the work.

Right the First Time

Return visits cost you money and cost us our reputation. We send experienced, specialized technicians — not apprentices learning on your equipment. When we leave, the machine works. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every single call across the Front Range.

Licensed, Certified, and Industry-Backed

In commercial foodservice repair, credentials aren't wallpaper — they're proof that technicians completed the training required to work on specialized equipment safely and correctly. Here's what backs every Maintenance Chef service call.

EPA Section 608 Universal Certification

Federal law requires EPA Universal Certification to handle refrigerants. Our technicians are certified under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act — legally qualified to recover, recycle, and recharge refrigerants on all commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.

CFESA Member

Maintenance Chef is a member of the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association — the national trade association for professional foodservice equipment technicians. CFESA membership reflects a commitment to industry standards and ongoing technical training.

Licensed Colorado HVAC Contractor

Colorado requires a state contractor license to perform HVAC work legally — pull permits, pass building inspections, and handle refrigerant on commercial systems. Most kitchen repair companies don't have this license. We do. See our commercial HVAC service page.

BBB Accredited Business

Maintenance Chef is accredited by the Better Business Bureau, reflecting our commitment to honest business practices, responsive customer service, and resolving any issues fairly. Serving Colorado restaurants with integrity since 2011.

About Maintenance Chef

Maintenance Chef was founded in 2011 and has been serving commercial kitchens across Colorado's Front Range for over 15 years. Yes. Our technicians are EPA Universal Certified under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act — required by federal law to handle refrigerants on commercial systems. Maintenance Chef is also a licensed Colorado HVAC contractor, a CFESA member, and a BBB accredited business. We carry proof of credentials and insurance on every service call. For refrigeration and HVAC work specifically, EPA certification isn't optional — it's the law.

We serve any commercial food service operation — full-service restaurants, fast food and QSR locations, corporate cafeterias, school kitchens, hotel food service, bars and breweries, food trucks, and multi-unit operators. If you run a commercial kitchen on Colorado's Front Range, we can service it. We're the preferred service partner for several major chain operators in the Denver metro area.

Yes — our preventative maintenance contracts provide scheduled inspections, cleaning, and tune-ups that catch small problems before they become expensive breakdowns. PM contract clients receive priority scheduling, discounted rates on repair calls, and a documented service history for every piece of equipment. For multi-unit operators and high-volume kitchens, a PM contract is one of the highest-ROI investments you can make in your operation.

Call us at (720) 244-1065.
